My client, an independent care provider is looking for an experienced Matron/Care Manager, and RGN to run its nursing home in the Port Talbot area.

Main Responsibilities
As a Matron, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the home. Key duties will include supervising the provision of care, all staff issues including recruitment, retention, development and disciplinary requirements, ensuring that the homes is adequately staffed at all times, ensuring that the residents are provided with a safe and caring environment, and liaising with G.P, outside agencies and relatives etc. You will be expected to manage the finances of the home, and attend management meetings as required.

Skills and Experience
It is required that you have experience of managing a care home, and that hold your RGN and RMA qualification. This is an exciting opportunity within a growing business with a lot of scope for professional development.
