Our Private Childcare has a long history in child protection – and years of experience showing that high quality therapeutic childcare helps children and young people learn to deal with their past experiences and prepare for the future.

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified manager for a five bedded home for boys ages 11-17 years old with EBD.

**Within Wales a higher and more specific qualification is required,(please see below) please only forward CV’s if your have the desired level of qualification as outlined by the CSSIW guidelines

The starting salary is £24,409k – £35,000k dependant on qualification and experience

We are committed to providing the quality of care that will accomplish this. Residential care is for 5 to 18-year olds, and our focus is centred on the needs of the child

New Qualifications from January 2011:

• Manager Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management) Wales
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Advanced Practice) Wales and Northern Ireland
• or, Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) Wales and Northern Ireland

Also Residential Child Care Managers Qualifications Needed:

Current all inclusive single qualification or predecessor all inclusive single qualification

• NVQ 4 Leadership & Management for Care Services (must include units B6 and B7)
• NVQ 4 Managers in Residential Child Care or a current child care qualification and an acceptable management qualification
• NVQ 4 Health and Social Care (children and young people’s pathway) or NVQ 4 Care or Degree in Social Work or equivalent

Plus a management qualification from this list:

• NVQ 4 in Management
• NVQ 4 Leadership & Management for Care Services (if units B6 and B7 not included)
• NVQ 5 in Management
• MBA
• Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma or Master’s in Management
• Certificate in Management Studies
• Diploma in Management Studies
• City & Guilds 3250-03 Advanced Management in Care
• Diploma in Management of Care Services
